The founder, Jake Dixon, first joined the carpenters union as an apprentice in 1973 and quickly learned all the skills and know how in building commercial and residential structures. Jake started his career with major contractors like Howard S. Wright, whose west coast projects included the Famous Space Needle in Seattle and the 76 story Columbia tower, still one of the tallest buildings in America. After 20 years of mastering every facet of construction, he found new challenges in Las Vegas as a foreman on extraordinary projects like the New York New York and the Bellagio Hotel where his crews easily exceed 500 carpenters.
His recognized skills soon became sought after and placed him as superintendent over some of San Diego's most recognized high rise buildings including the newly built Renaissance towers in the Marina district. Crowning his career with completing his California contractors exam in a single pass, he is now owns one of San Diego's most experienced and successful contracting firms.
